I am building a set of marker studies for a packaging project and need paper that holds sharp edges without feathering. Current sheets bleed slightly at the corners, especially when I layer a pale wash over a darker stroke. I mostly use alcohol markers, a small brush pen, and occasional colored pencil. The studies will be scanned later, so surface texture matters as much as ink behavior. I have tested a smooth heavyweight drawing sheet and a mixed-media paper, but the first feels too slick for pencil and the second dulls the marker color. I would value recommendations for papers that balance clean boundaries, moderate tooth, and reliable scanning. Please include what you look for in paper weight, brightness, and finish, plus any preparation tricks such as taping edges or allowing drying time between layers. If you have a preferred paper for small studies, explain where it performs well and where it falls short.
